The Hoxie Mustangs traveled to
Highland to face off with the Highland Rebels on their home turf. Hoxie's
7th grade
Mustangs was defeated by the Rebels with a score of 20 to 14. The Highland Rebels 8th grade team matched their
skills against Cedar Ridge's Timberwolves and lost with a score of 8 to 20 in favor of the Timberwolves. Hoxie's
Senior High Junior Varsity was defeated by the Highland Rebels with a score of 6 to 0.

Friday afternoon, December 21, 2007, saw the North East
Arkansas Invitational Tournament begin at the
campus of ASU in Jonesboro. The following teams were in play: Imboden's Sloan Hendrix versus Buffalo
Island Central Mustangs which ended with a score of 53 to 57 in favor of the Mustangs; Black Rock Lady
Zebras versus Jonesboro's Ridgefield Lady Warriors that ended with a score of 62 to 15 in favor of the
Lady Zebras; East Poinsett County Warriors versus the Harrisburg Hornets that ended with a score of 60
to 40 in favor of the Warriors; Black Rock Zebras versus Maynard Tigers that ended with a score of 52
to 53 in favor of the Tigers ; Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats versus Armorel Lady Tigers that ended with a
score of 49 to 23 in favor of the Lady Bobcats; Lynn's Hillcrest Screaming Eagles versus Walnut Ridge
Bobcats that ended with a score of 55 to 58 in favor of the Bobcats and the Imboden Sloan Hendrix Lady
Greyhounds versus Izard County Lady Cougars which ended in a score of 47 to 57 in favor of the Lady Cougars.

Weiner's Lady Cardinals which ended in a score of 50 to 31 in favor of the Screamin' Eagles. The Lynn Hillcrest
Screamin' Eagle Junior boys played Mammoth Springs Bears which ended with a score of 48 to 26 in favor of the
Screamin' Eagles. The Cave City Lady Cavewomen pitted their skills against the Mammoth Springs Lady Bears
which ended with a 37 to 28 score in favor of the Cavewomen. The Cave City Cavemen Junior boys vied their skills
against Maynard Tigers which ended in a score of 46 to 21 in favor of the Cavemen.
